Mary Aloe is considered one of the top independent film producers and finance experts in Los Angeles. Aloe has run film studios in Vancouver, Pittsburgh, and Savannah, as well as run three $50 million funds, one equity fund backed by the RBC, and a revolving $50 million P&A fund. Aloe has a roster of sixteen high-net-worth investors behind her and growing all of her investors. The finance focus and commitment are predominately equity and mezzanine financing allowing Aloe and her company to finance on an average of four to six films a year. Aloe specializes in packaging, financial structuring, analysis of the projects through ROIs, the pro forma, and forecasting domestic and international sales with studios, major, mini-major, streamers, and independents.
Aloe has produced and financed over 56 films including Worth ( Netflix) starring Michael Keaton and Stanley Tucci (Netflix) with Executive Producers Barack and Michelle Obama, Flag Day (MGM) starring and directed by Sean Penn, bruised starring, and directed by Halle Berry (Netflix). The social impact films Battle in Seattle starring Charlize Theron, Channing Tatum, Michelle Rodriguez, and Woody Harrelson, the faith-based bio pic 55 Steps starring Helena Bonham Carter and Hilary Swank for Sony, Freud’s Last Session starring Anthony Hopkins for Sony Pictures Classic and Rumours starring Cate Blanchett, Alicia Vikander, and Charles Dance. Mary Aloe created, financed, and produced Mary, ( Netflix) premiered December 6, 2024, and has since surpassed over 100 million views which ranked in the top 3 in over 86 countries.
Aloe Entertainment’s film slate for 2026/2027 includes the family animated film Groove Tails starring Alan Ritchson, Halle Bailey, Ludacris and Ansel Elgort, the Blacklist script winner Ruin starring and produced by Gal Gadot. Couture written and directed by Nick Cassavetes (The Notebook). Aloe and her team have just wrapped post on Alpha Gang, starring Chris Pine, Cate Blanchett, Dave Bautista, Lilly-Rose Depp, and Riley Keough in Budapest premiers at TIFF 2026. As well, Aloe is in post-production on A Statement, a climate change theatrical film directed by Oscar winner (Spotlight) Tom McCarthy, starring Paul Rudd, Paul Giamatti, John Tuturro, Evan Peters, Amy Ryan, and Tatiana Maslany which premiers at the NY Film Festival 2026 through Sony.
Aloe’s first book Let It Be Me Sacred Lessons From Mary Mother of Jesus launches November 10, 2026 on Amazon and in book stores with partner Maria Shriver through her imprint Open Field at Penguin Random House.

Originally from North Carolina. Amanda joined Aloe Entertainment in 2017. She specializes in high level script coverage, development of in-house scripts and managing day to day tasks on behalf of founder Mary Aloe and assisting with all stages of feature film and television production including budgeting, financing, casting, film festivals as well as foreign and domestic distribution deals.

Sharon Paul is an LA-based screenwriter and producer and joined the Aloe Entertainment team in 2019. Originally from the UK, Sharon trained through LAMDA as an actor, before spending many years developing her craft as a screenwriter. She now specializes in writing and producing female-driven films. In addition to assisting Mary Aloe with in-house project development, Sharon also facilitates high-level strategic partnerships to promote and finance upcoming projects.
JAKE SHERMAN
FINANCE DEVELOPMENT
Jacob S. Sherman, an accomplished entrepreneur, and finance executive, serves as Aloe Entertainment’s CFO, where he oversees financial analysis for investor communications. Concurrently, Jake is a Managing Director for Xinyuan Real Estate’s (NYSE: XIN) tech division, leading their innovative Blockchain/RE Fractionalization initiative. Jake holds a BS in Finance from University of Pittsburgh and a Masters in RE Finance from New York University (NYU).
CARLOS ESPINOZA
PRODUCTION CONSULTANT
Carlos Espinoza joined Aloe Entertainment in 2007 for the production of “Battle In Seattle”, and has since supported Aloe’s feature films and documentary projects from concept to completion. Carlos is a broadcast Emmy winner and National Edward R. Murrow award-winner for best documentary. He has directed marketing and content operations at PBS, ABC and CBS media companies.

Jay Willick joined the development team of Aloe Entertainment in August of 2007 reviewing and covering all incoming projects. Jay currently supervises the development team and reports directly to founder Mary Aloe, assisting with all stages of feature film and television production including budgeting, financing, casting, film festivals as well as foreign and domestic distribution deals.
REBECCA SAMUELS
PRODUCTION
Filmmaker Rebecca Samuels grew up in New York with the city and all of its culture as her playground. She joined the Aloe Entertainment team in 2025 to assist Mary Aloe with feature film and television productions. She received a certification in Stagecraft and attended the University of Miami master screenwriting workshop program which gave her the tools to specialize in all phases of script development.
In addition to her formal education Rebecca was an active A-list member of the IATSE with expertise in lighting design, audio visual, AutoCAD, welding, camera utility, sound, scenic design, fly rail and spotlight operator all of which allowed her to gain great firsthand knowledge behind the scenes for film, television, theater, and music industries. She is also the founder of Femme Fatale Pictures, a film and television production company.
